There are a few events coming up that I want to tell you about! They support local businesses (shop local), and eating real food.
DuPage County CSA Expo
Saturday April 8 is the DuPage County CSA Expo
What is a CSA? It stands for Community Supported Agriculture. The gist is that you pay a set fee up front for crops for the entire summer! It is great for the farmer because they can focus on tending to and harvesting from their fields, rather than finding individuals to sell their crops to each week. It is great for the consumer because you get a variety of locally grown vegetables, eggs, and more depending on the Farm you choose. Different farms run their CSA's in different ways (e.g. different crops, sizes of boxes, and frequency of pickup, cost). Since this event features 20 different local farms, it gives you the opportunity to meet the farmers themselves, learn about them, their farms, and how their CSA works. You can sign up if you are interested!

Warrenville Community Health and Wellness Fair
Tuesday April 11 is the Warrenville Park District Health & Wellness Fair
I'll have a booth at this fair. I'd love for you to stop by and chat with me and the 50 other vendors!
In addition to the expo, from 10:45 to 11:45 there will be a complimentary NIA class in the studio. NIA is a unique, low-impact mix of healing, dance, and martial arts movements that makes your body feel great!.

Farmer's Markets
Farmer's markets are coming! This is a another great way to get local food and support local small business owners! Here are a few of the local markets and starting dates:
- Wheaton French Market - Saturday mornings 8an -2pm starts April 15, 2017 - at Main and Liberty
- Winfield Farmer's Market - Wednesday mornings from 7 am - 1pm Starts June 7, 2017 - at Winfield and Geneva Roads
- Geneva French Market - Sunday mornings 9 an - 2 pm - starts April 16, 2017 at South & 4th
